Yard & Garden

A lot has been done to the yard and garden.  Both owners are Master Gardeners.  When we first moved-in, we had the entire asphalt driveway taken out, and a new cement one poured.  All the sidewalks are new as well.  Main Street was reconstructed in 2016, and new curb & gutter and driveway apron installed.  The house had a lead water lateral from the street to the house, and at a cost of $2,000, we replaced it with copper pipes.  All assessments to the property have been paid in full.  We installed a new mission style mail box, custom house numbers, and five new mission style light fixtures on the outside of the house and garage.

All the backyard raised beds were replaced with new flagstone beds.  A small water pond feature with fountain was added in one of the beds.  All the beds on the side of the driveway and in front of the house have been redesigned.  We added approximately 200 new perennials.  A paver walkway in the front of the house from the sidewalk to front door was added in 2015.  The yard has mature shade trees in the front and backyard.  The trees have been recently trimmed and treated.  The yard is fenced in the back of the house.

The yard has a large variety of perennials and special trees that include:  Japanese Maples, Gingko, Korean Spice Viburnum, Mugo Pines, Umbrella Pine, iris, daylily, grasses, coneflowers, roses, hostas, ferns, and lots more.  The yard only takes 10 minutes to mow.  The house has a large backyard deck with two levels.  The deck has been repainted.
